The Better HOT or NOT

Unconventional Valentine’s Day Date Ideas

While some may avoid the holiday as a whole, others may feel inspired by a day solely made to celebrate love (and possibly exchange pretty things). If you’re one of those few who feel enlightened we’ve got a few date ideas for you.

1. Take a dance class together: Swing, ballroom, hip hop, whatever the style, wherever the studio. This is bound to make you both share a laugh; that is if you two are inexperienced.

2. Take a couples cooking class: educational AND beneficial! There’s nothing sexier than someone who knows their way around the kitchen and who said the both of you can’t be?

3. Go to a museum OR art gallery: My boyfriend and I went to a museum when we first started dating and it was well worth the 20 dollar entrance fee. This is a cheap date idea that will bring you a few hours of fun!

4. Take a pottery or art class: Just think, your works of art can be admired for years to come! “Hey honey, remember that time…”

5. Wake up, watch the sun rise together, catch some zZ’s… have breakfast: We didn’t just stop at the sunrise part; we think you should have a sexy meal somewhere in the mix. And you amateur cooks out there will feel relieved knowing that whipping up a great breakfast is pretty much fool proof (and cheap)!

6. Re-live the first date: Not what you’re thinking- none of that same restaurant shiz. Get dressed and travel to wherever you’re going- separately. If you’re really devoted to the idea, keep conversation at a minimum throughout the day.

7. Photo Op: Book an appointment at Sears or Walmart and take super cheesy photos with each other. If you’re really into it, visit the thrift store and buy some tacky sweaters to wear.

If that doesn’t appeal to you, go to the dollar store and buy 20 bucks worth of props. Make a map and visit all the photo booths in your area. You know the rest.

Have you got an original V-day date idea? Let us know how you surprised your honey in the past!

or no 8 – Give them a Photo-Love-Letter, can be romantic or just a bit of fun, part photo-book, part love letter – easy and fun to do.
